Homestead Tax Exepmtion
General Purpose: The homestead tax credit is intended to provide tax relief for those who own and occupy a home in Iowa. |
Filing Dates:You must file an application on or before July 1st of the current year to receive the credit for this year. If you file after July 1st of the current year you will receive the credit for the following year.
How/Where to apply:
In Polk County, head down to Room 195, 111 Court Avenue in Des Moines to apply Their hours are 7a-5p Monday-Friday.
